Khabri Bai reads short news headlines aloud. It has no sign-up and no ads, and we built it to need as little about you as we can. This page says exactly what it does use.
Who we are
Khabri Bai is published by Umesh Jakhar, the developer named on the App Store. You can reach us at khabribai.com@gmail.com.
What the app collects
These items leave your device and are kept for longer than a single request. Apple asks us to list them in the App Store's privacy label, and this table matches that label.

What the app does not collect
- Your name, email address, phone number or address.
- Your location, contacts, photos, files or microphone recordings.
- The advertising identifier. There are no ads in Khabri Bai.
We do not track you. We do not combine data from the app with data from other companies' apps or websites to advertise to you, and we do not sell your data.
Optional background processing
An optional setting in the app is off by default. If you switch it on, the processing described above may also run in the background, and it may change how often we show prompts. You can switch it off at any time.
What stays on your device
Your settings, your language and topic choices, your voice choice and any Pro Voice you download are stored on your device. Some features run on the device once set up. Where a feature generates text on the device, the result may be submitted to us as described above.
Who handles data for us
- Cloud infrastructure, notification, analytics and security providers (including Google).
- A subscription-management provider, for subscription status and restores.
- Apple: the App Store, payments and the Apple Account that holds your subscription.
- Third-party hosts and content services, which provide downloads and content. They may receive technical information such as your IP address and request details, as any download or request involves.
- News sources: content comes from public sources, and each story links to the publisher's own page. Publishers and other content sources may see technical information such as your IP address when content is requested, and when you open an article you are on the publisher's site and their policy applies.
We use providers that publish their own privacy and data-protection terms, and we share with them only what the app needs in order to work.
How long we keep it
We do not delete this data on a timer. We keep the data about your install until you ask us to delete it, as described below. Analytics data is kept for the period set in our provider settings.
Your choices and deleting your data
- Delete your data: in the app, open Settings and choose Delete personal data. It opens a short form. Or write to khabribai.com@gmail.com and tell us the app version.
- Notifications: turn them off in iOS Settings at any time.
- Background processing: keep the optional setting off, or switch it off, in the app's Settings.
- Subscriptions: manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. See the subscription terms.
When you ask, we delete or unlink the records tied to your install's anonymous ID. The news text itself comes from public sources and may remain, without your ID.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct or delete your data. Write to us and we will respond.
Children
Khabri Bai is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has used the app and you would like their data removed, write to us.
This website
khabribai.com is hosted by a third-party provider, which keeps ordinary server logs (such as IP address and the pages requested). The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party scripts or fonts.
International transfers
Our service providers operate in several countries, so data may be processed outside the one you live in. They protect it under their own terms and policies.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. If the changes matter, we will say so in the app.
